The laboratory is a game mechanic, not a configurator for real weapons. Drag two or three modules into the workbench; at least one must deal damage, while the others can add control, an area effect or protection.

Fifteen starting modules
Standard, electric, ice, explosive, sticky, fire, sound, gravity, acid, light, black hole, slowdown, decoy, ricochet and mine are open immediately.
Two or three parts
The base and additive slots are required; the third amplifier slot is optional and creates a longer seven-wave run.
A readable build preview
Before assembly, the laboratory names the future module and explains its direct hit, control and area effects.
Secret parts are earned
Rare boss victories can reveal a pumpkin bomb, mechanical tentacle, sand shield or venom spit for later builds.
